Amazon Week 14

A+ Premium Obsession

Each week you’ll receive my 5 top posts. 1 piece of design inspiration. And all other Amazon posts I found relevant. View every email here.

Top 5

  1. Amazon's stepping up its game with "Prime Try before you buy". Letting you choose up to 6 items to test at home. Keep the ones you fancy, and return the rest – but only for clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Thanks, Prem.

  2. New Amazon beta for off-site ads. The trial uses existing campaigns, served on Amazon's partner sites, with all clicks covered by Amazon. Thanks, Alexi.

  3. 60% of US retail sales were influenced digitally. It's projected to hit 70% by 2027. With the digital shelf becoming more critical for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, staying visible is vital. Brands must adapt, optimize, and analyze their online presence to succeed. Thanks, Mert.

  4. AMC Console and AMS Console are now integrated. This spiffy update streamlines your workflow. Thanks, Jack.

  5. Scroll past images with ease. Amazon tests a nifty feature allowing users to scroll past product images without clicking. Smooth and efficient for busy shoppers. Thanks, Prem.

Top Design

I’m becoming obsessed. Hours have been spent today working on 2 A+ Premium pages for clients.

The thing is, I can’t expect my designers to be copywriters. But copy plays such a vital role in the page.

Creating benefit driven points to accompany sexy designs. This truly makes the perfect page.

It’s all about the perfect process. So, I’m now working on building ChatGPT prompts for clients. Empowering them to deliver us with perfect points. Which we can then role into content.

Meaning: better content in less time.

I’m also realising, this process is all about providing examples to the designer. Mood boards are a big part of our new process. I’m using our portfolios A LOT.

And the designers are finding it so much easier.

Anyway, that’s my mini design based vent on how I’m gently watching my mind drift away.
